After Effects single item, multiple outputs, m2v's

Hey all,

New to the board, and relatively new to Deadline. The project I’m on is looking to use After Effects to produce multiple m2v’s from a single comp. A script we have produces a single render queue item with multiple outputs. Each output is a cropped portion of the whole comp and it is set as a blu-ray mpeg2.

How can I submit this to Deadline and have each slave render one of the outputs? As it is, when I submit it wants to do a single frame at a time and overwrites the m2v frame it creates. Can Deadline handle non-image sequence render items?

Are you able to set up a command line renderer using aerender.exe (outside of Deadline) to achieve this? Deadline just uses aerender.exe, and passes it the appropriate frame range to render, along with some other options. If what you’re trying to do is possible from the command line, there should be a way to get Deadline to do the same (either by modifying the current AfterEffects plugin, or by submitting CommandLine jobs).
