After Effects Submission Installer OSX problem

Hey Guys,

In running the OSX installer for After Effects, it asks for a place to put the scripts, but doesn’t fill out the path – and there is no Finder button to navigate to it.

But, more importantly, even if you do copy/paste a path into the field, there is a error:

Error copying file from /Applications/Thinkbox/DeadlineRepository7/submission/AfterEffects/Client/DeadlineAfterEffectsClient.jsx to /Applications/Adobe After Effects CC 2014/Support Files/Scripts/DeadlineAffterEffectsClient.jsx :smiley:estination not writable.

I presume that this is because the Support Files directory does not exist for CC 2014. Any chance we can get an installer update that uses the path you give it? Or lets you set the path?

As an alternative, if one were to install it manually, where should the Client .jsx and the Main .jsx be placed.

Thanks!

Same problem here with 7.1

Hello,

According to docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produc … ript-setup which has manual set up steps, the files should be going to “[After Effects Install Directory]\Support Files\Scripts” which is where it’s trying to write to. Is it perhaps a problem of the folder just not yet being created? If so we could probably check for the folder and if not made, make it for you…

The folder is made when you install AE. On osx the installer should look for this directory:

/Applications/Adobe After Effects CC 2014/Scripts

Hey,

I heard from the devs and they are fixing this for 7.1.1, which we hope to have out in the coming days.

Cool!
