archive?

Can someone explain the “archive” function? I can’t find any docs on it. thanks.

Archiving a job does a couple of things:

  1. The job settings can no longer be modified.
  2. The job can be filtered out of the Job list because it’s now in a

    different state.



    It basically allows one to save a job in the repository so that they can

    do something with it later (by unarchiving it).



    In the next version of Deadline, archiving jobs will actually improve

    Deadline’s performance, because the slaves will completely skip over

    those jobs while searching.
