Arnold finishes in 5 secs when most frames take 2 mins - but marks as completed when the file is empty still

This is the error I get, I have no idea why.

It is not really an option to turn on strict error checking at this stage.

It’s not related to the machine, since some machines will do it once, then not do it again, it’s not the frame, since sometimes a requeue fixes it.

edit to add: I do see that it says permission denied, but I seemingly do have read/write on that file. Is there anything that could be locking it, possible deadline adjacent.

what file generates that permission denied error? We do also see such errors occasionally but mostly only in first attempt to render task, second time it goes well

I think I actually figured it out.

The permissions were NOT correct, and it was a windows problem specifically. It was a problem based on something not to do with me, so I don’t know what exactly it was.

But basically if it felt it was rendering into somewhere it didn’t have permission (it being the worker) it didn’t do it.

As I understand it the windows permissions were not actually the same as the network permissions and there was a weird gap.
