Hi,
We run windows and linux render nodes, on premise.
I am starting to use the AWS Portal, from Deadline Thinkbox (not the purely cloud version)
On windows our main fileserver is accessed with the UNC
\\myfileserver\projects, On linux it is mounted as /mnt/myfileserver/projects
Our deadline server is running on linux, so when I configure the root directories in the Asset Server Settings, I use /mnt/myfileserver/projects/
I cannot use the windows unc, as the deadline server would not understand that path, which is logical.
The issue is that, when creating an aws infrastructure, a new path mapping rule is automatically added to convert from /mnt/myfileserver/projects to the FUSE mount point of the spot instances. That is great, but I also need a path mapping to convert from \\myfileserver\projects to the FUSE moint point
I would suggest that root directories should be defined with paths for the three OSes, which in turn would allow for auto creation of three path mapping rules.
See my mockup
Regards
