Automatic Job Cleanup not deleting old jobs...

Deadline Version: 6.1.0.53841 R
Win7 Ent

Hasn’t worked since v6

Not sure what is going on but this hasn’t worked since we upgraded to v6. Not sure why this doesn’t work. I just changed the “Only cleanup jobs that have not been modified for this many hours” value to 12 (it was 0), but those settings have otherwise been the same since we installed it.

We’ve logged this as an issue, and will try to reproduce.

Thanks!
Ryan

I just tested it here and it worked fine…

From the Monitor, enter super user mode and then run Tools -> Perform House Cleaning. Check the Console to see if it prints out anything about cleaning up jobs. If it doesn’t, check if there are any error messages.

Thanks!
Ryan

It worked when I ran it directly, but up to that point it never auto-cleaned anything. Once I manually ran it, everything was cleared out.

Do you guys run Pulse? If not, then these cleanup operations are done randomly by the slaves between tasks. When Pulse is running, it performs these operations at more consistent intervals.

Cheers,
Ryan

That would be the problem, we stopped running Pulse when we upgraded to 6.
