Just curious, why is this setting:
disabled by default?
I’m actually not sure. If you have a Pulse in a different region for wake-on-lan and you didn’t want it occasionally becoming the new primary to do all of your cleanup work maybe it’s safer to keep it off? Could also be that we fixed it from not automatically electing.
I’ve poked some folks so they know to take a look at it.
Not sure, it definitely should be enabled by default. Best guess is that when it was introduced it was reasoned that the current behaviour should remain the default (ie, no automatic election).
Should be easy enough to change though, I don’t see a reason with it shouldn’t be on by default, as you mention.
