Awake 1.2 32/64-Bit Beta build 33504

The Awake 1.2 Beta includes one new plugin and one improved plugin:

Motion Depth Blur - Using velocity channels to apply a 2-D motion blur to images is the primary purpose of this plugin. However, doing a motion or depth blur invalidates the z-depth and velocity channels that have been rendered. This plugin has the added benefit of applying both channels simultaneously, and avoids the use of invalidated channels.

Frequency Blur 2 - There are two primary benefits to the new plugin. The first is that it adds per channel blurring, so artists can create rainbow effects easily. The second is that it uses the same size of filter as the depth blur and edge aware filter, leading to more consistent usage across all the plugins.

Licensing
Awake-Beta licenses will be released only to approved beta testers. However, a watermarked evaluation version will run on any system.
To receive an Awake-Beta license you must e-mail your login name and MAC address to awake-beta (at) franticfilms (dot) com. Then follow the instructions in the licensing section of the documentation.

I don’t see a download link.

I found a bug and just rebuilt them.

Cool, thanks.

Can’t wait to start hammering on these.

The documentation has been updated (by still news more). I’ve included a few usage videos that will expand in the future.

Does this new version fix any of the stability problems we were having?

I assume you mean the crashing depth blur. It’s using the depth blur that was released separately in the bug forum, so if that one is working then you should be good to go.
