AWS - Output write error 10.0.22.3

Hi,

Started seeing this error since updating to the latest version. Everything is rendering fine on the cloud slaves, but it can’t transfer the files back:

Error: RenderTask: Unexpected exception (Error in bm->Write(): error code 1

2018/11/27 11:30:52 ERR: [03328] [03460] OpenEXR (exr) (E:\piknas003Projects9b596f84054add9958725c2e8834fdb4\2018\XXXX\XXXX\ANIMATIONS\SHOTS\05_Drone\RENDERS\05_Drone\MAINPOOL\XXXX_0175.exr) - The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. (0x45d)

Any ideas on how to fix?

Thanks

Well, “bm->write()” is from the app that’s writing to the device, so this seems like an infrastructure problem so far.

Windows nodes dump their files back to the Gateway instance via a mounted Samba share at “E:”. We open and close the connection to push it into S3 using the “task.py” you’re seeing in the render logs…

I guess for debugging this, does it happen for all files and paths? I’m not usually a fan of destroying the troubleshooting opportunity, but you can try rebooting the Gateway instance.

Can you call us next time you’ve got this error? We’ll want to log into the Gateway and figure out what’s happening. Number here is +1-866-419-0283 ext 2.
