I have set up Deadline 10.1.14.5 with AWS Portal and UBL. I submitted a Maya 2020 Renderman 22 job to my Spot Fleet but am getting a “cannot load scene” error. I confirmed that the scene is cached on the AWS EC2 worker mnt and I can open the cached scene with an editor. The scene is a simple polygon cube geometry with a spin animation. I saw in similar posts to try to open the scene in Maya on worker but when I try it gives me a Maya licensing error. Do you have suggestions? To be clear: Maya runs successfully with UBL on worker when I use submission plugin but I cannot run Maya manually on the worker to find out more about why Maya cannot load my scene.
Submitting scene as an .mb rather than a .ma resolves the issue.
