What is the process to update the AMI’s with a newer version of Deadline?
I configured our current working one that was running 10.0.18.0 but after trying to upgrade it to 20.2, it appears in my slave list when a spot fleet has launched, but it is always offline and can’t be reached.
I just ran the Deadline Client installer and ran through as defaults, and set it to start the launcher as a service.
Any ideas? (apart from don’t update it 
! )

Your deadline.ini was most likely configured incorrectly through the upgrade process. /var/lib/Thinkbox/Deadline10/deadline.ini. I can take a look to see if there are any configurations there. If this is a Windows AMI it will be in C:\ProgramData\Thinkbox\Deadline10\deadline.ini.
However, I definitely recommend that when you upgrade you start from one of our newer AMIs instead of upgrading your current one. The reason for this is that there could be additional fixes on the new AMIs that will not be updated on your current AMI if you choose the method you are currently using.
