So we’re customising the submission dialog box for a few job types (Draft, C4D etc) to include some extra fields, making the draft templates a drop down menu for simplicity etc, but obviously when a new updated version of Deadline is released, there script changes we’ve made are over ridden. I know they’re backed up and we obviously have our backups, but what’s the best practice in modifying these scripts so we don’t have to keep replacing them after every update?
Deadline 6 has a new ‘custom’ folder in the repository, with subfolders for custom events, plugins, and scripts. Any plugins/scripts you place here will not be overwritten during upgrades.
