Related to another of my bug reports recently, but in beta 2, if I run Deadline Slave on a Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64bit) OS machine, the Slave identifies the OS incorrectly as “Windows Vista (SP2)”.

Hey Mike,
This issue should be resolved in beta 3. We found a new way to get the OS, and it’s a lot more accurate. 
For example, it will even show if you are using Windows 7 Home vs Windows 7 Professional.

This sounds like a good idea for the future as it looks like you will need to identify between “Windows 8 Desktop” and “Windows 8 Metro”…if the Microsoft developer tech previews are anything to go by
