beta 3 feedback - general

monitor UI question - if the “panel lock” is enabled, should I still be able to RC on a panel and change it? Feels like the “lock panel” option should do exactly what it says and not just handle panel position changing? (Just saying…)

monitor console panel - I really want a “clear console” of all messages RC button. good for debugging and seeing what is going wrong. Otherwise, it started to get confusing. Very useful, so that I can then copy’n’paste the message in a forum thread.

OSX client installer stalls on the license agreement page stopping you from clicking on the accept radio button for a few seconds. this has been an issue since v6.0 beta I think, just thought I would mention it…(maybe you guys have set it to force the user to scroll to the bottom of the license agreement first?)

modify limits form doesn’t remember it’s last size/position between viewings.

If I click on VMX Balancer Options under tools, this error message appears in the console. Shouldn’t happen for default Deadline users just because they don’t have VMX?

Submit DraftTileSubmission form has a UI cutoff / typo issue - “Input Configuration I” on OSX only. Bigger issue with all UI compared Win to OSX. See attached images for examples.
Looks like on OSX the font sizes are the wrong way round between headers and normal text labels, which is causing the text cut-off issues…

Not sure, to be honest. The main reason for adding the lock in the first place was that people would get annoyed with the auto-docking when dragging floating windows over the main UI, or they would accidentally undock and redock a panel in a different place. I don’t think the right-click option to change a panel is a big problem, so it’s probably fine to leave this behavior as is.

Yeah, that’s a good idea. We’ll add it to the wish list.

That’s a known issue with the installer software we use.

Thanks! Logged as a bug.

We’re still working out some of the details with what balancer stuff is shipped with the core Deadline install and what will be added on (if anything).

Finally, thanks for catching those UI cutoff issues. We’ll get those fixed.
