Open Max and right-click in any text field (e.g. Object Name).
Or open Windows Explorer, click on the path field to turn to text field, and right-click in it…
Surprise! OS-wide Unicode character controls!
I guess the spinner fields are considered text fields.
The better question is - if the OS is inserting it, can we actually suppress it? I have not investigated that, just wanted to say it is everywhere and it has never bothered me.
The right click options appear to be OS based (don’t have that option on my windows machine).
For auto visible mini-map we can do something like that the main thing i saw for it was if you have something in the top left corner it will be covered by the mini-map and be inaccessible.
We should be able to default values within the zoom menu for RC just need to decide some preferred amounts.
auto-alignment - I need to look into how we want to do it to make it look decent, but yeah we should get something like that in.
for the huge mini-map… I have not seen that yet… any steps on how to reproduce?
I can add a keyboard shortcut (and RC menu) for the mini-map
would you like it to actually delete the asset/script if it exists or just remove from the window (option box?)
strange. Bobo and I were able to see this issue on our WIn machines.
Understood. However, nuke has there one visible pretty much all the time and users just “pan” the view to see any hidden nodes that might be inaccessible.
I was thinking align all the node connector lines by 90 degrees, so they are all horizontal.
Nope, not yet. seems random for me. Lots of closing and re-opening the view and selecting different jobs and changing the zoom value, eventually causes the issue.
I was thinking not to actually delete the asset off disk. Just remove the asset/script from being a dependency for the particular jobs it is assigned to.
I agree that that would be nice and i would like to do that however I first need to find a way to pan beyond the scene rect or increase the size of the scene rect by panning.
aligning by connectors could work (especially if we can get same line sockets), however we then run into the issue of what if a node has multiple connections, aka 1job dependent upon 2
the huge minimap… i just had it happen and yeah that is weird… I will look into that.
