Hi guys.
Finally! This is great! All the apps looks great. Monitor is very smooth, with the graphs and everything. They’re real Mac apps now
I still think the interface is a little too easy to rearrange. Just dragging a floating window (Job report etc) past Monitor a little too slowly, docks it in the main layout. I just wanted to move it to the right, not dock it This feels very inconsistent. The drag’n drop function is great, but maybe the user has to press a key-combo (Ctrl + alt + drag etc) to make such editing possible? Or maybe an “unlock interface” menu command could be a solution.
Don’t mess with the Apple + Q keyboard shortcut on the mac As it is now, Monitor uses “Apple + Q” for "Reque, AND “Quit” ) Yes i know this is still in beta, but its still funny.
Installing Mono 2.10 kills my 5.2 installation I knew that off course. Just thought of it too late…
The window that comes up when selecting “Connect to Slave Log” snaps to its minimal size when trying to re-size it.
Thanks for the feedback! That’s great to hear that it’s working well for the most part.
I think some sort of interface locking might be the way to go, and could be added as a toggle option in the tool bar. We’ll have to do some research on what we can do later on during the beta.
Good catch! We’ll change the Requeue shortcut.
Yup. We wish there was a way to avoid this.
Thanks! Logged as a bug.
You may also notice that the DeadlineMonitor -> Preferences menu item brings up the Repository Options. That will be fixed in beta 5.
Did you install Mongo on OSX via the Thinkbox installer or did you already have one setup? I did the included TB installer and when I try to launch any app I get a “Failed to authenticate when connecting to the Mongo Database; please make sure the Mongo credentials are correct.”
We don’t set up any credentials in Mongo, so that’s strange. Did you have any credentials set in the Repository Installer on the page that asks for your other Mongo settings (server name, port, etc)?
Yup that was it, reinstalled the repository without any login/password on the Mongo settings then was able to launch apps. Maybe could add a note in the manual about credentials for those who haven’t used Mongo before such as myself. Just curious if you do add credentials during install where do you ‘login’ or change that after the fact?
Glad that worked. I would have expected the installer to throw an error when it tried to configure the Mongo database using those credentials, so there is probably a bug there. We’ll look into this.
Ah, we discovered that the configuration process would only print a warning if using credentials when authentication was disabled in mongo. This will be changed in beta 5 to throw an error instead.
