Beta 8 licensing problem

Last night for some reason our slaves all turned orange.
We’ve been running beta 8 since it came out, and everything has been working fine up to now.
I took a look at the license server log, and it’s full of lines like this:

17:15:06 (thinkbox) DENIED: "deadline" dave baker@Z420 (License server system does not support this version of this feature. (-25,334:54 "Connection reset by peer"))

This happens with all of the slaves, but they still render the tasks.
Anyone else seeing this?

According to the Monitor, the license is valid for another 9 days, do we need to get a new beta license sorted out?

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Dave,
The DENIED license messages are ok to ignore. It’s Flexlm’s way of saying that a “slave is requesting a v6.1 license and v6.0 isn’t valid…but it’s ok, as there is a temporary v6.1 beta license…” The message will go away once v6.1 is launched and you are provided with a permanent v6.1 license file. You always get these license error messages on your license server when your running a Deadline beta version.
The slaves turn orange when your license file has <10 days remaining on it - it’s a built-in safety switch to protect clients
I’ll let the guys know that the beta license is about to expire for beta users.
Mike

Thanks Mike, that would explain everything

Cheers,

Dave

Hey Dave! I can’t find your info in our system. Can you e-mail sales and ask them for a license refresh?

Thanks!

Thanks Edwin, I just shot off a mail to sales.

Cheers,

Dave
