Bit strange, but running the beta 8 windows installer on 2 completely different systems and both installers fail to upgrade, leaving it still on the beta 7 build version?
Looking at the backup in the deadline repository and the “most recent” dir has been populated, but the date/time stamped dir is empty. strange…?
That’s strange. Does the installer show an error message, or does the upgrade appear to fail silently?
no message is displayed and the installer completes as per usual.
It just seems to be failing silently.
I fully un-installed and re-installed a fresh install this morning and its still beta 7!
I thought I was losing the plot, so I re-downloaded beta 8 and it seems to be beta7 - 44095!

You’re claiming that the Beta 8 download is just a rehash of the Beta 7 one?
I’ll do some digging here. So far Beta 8 seems like the real deal.
Dude, good catch. Seems the installer is populated with the old binaries.
I’ll inform Ryan. He took his machine with him, so he’s going to need to roll a new installer.
