Beta v12 - OS X Mongo 32/64bit

I can’t get Beta 12 to install the Mongo database in 64bit mode on a Mac Mini with a Core i5 processor. I can, however, install the standalone 64bit version of Mongo.

Installing the 32bit database proceeds fine, but it hangs indefinitely when configuring the database. It’d be great to get some uninstall instructions for Mac OS X so we can do a fresh install. Beta 6 was working okay.

Hey Tom,

It looks like there is a bug where we attempt to install the 32 bit version of Mongo on 64 bit OSX machines. I can reproduce this, so we’ll try to get this fixed. You should be able to use your standalone 64 bit version of Mongo for now though.

We currently install Mongo to /Applications/mongo, so you can delete that folder to remove it.
