Bug: Monitor crashes when trying to setup Auto Configurations

Hi, just moved to 10.3.0.10 because of Nuke 14 and 3dsmax 2024 support and found this issue.

We’re using the Auto configuration tab to set Regions based on IP so we can contol the mapped drives in different sever locations. As soon as I tick the tick box to turn on the Region option, the Monitor crashes. I’ve tried it on the machine unning the repo/database, also on a worker, tried running the monitor as a local user and a full admin user. Same issue.

Unless there is a way to set regions anothe way for the workers, we’re really stuck. A lot of the time the workers have the drives mapped and its fine, but having the 100% bullet proof setup that the worker checks and sets them up before trying a render is so much better. But thats not really in question, its the bug!!

On a side note!! - Is it ok to simply copy the jobs from the old repo to the new one? Seems like it would be a fast way to keep all your submitted jobs.

Just noticed the .13 release - might that help?

Thank a lot.

Was trying this suggestion from another thread -

you can run deadlinemonitor.exe -py-ver 2 located in C:\Program Files\Thinkbox\Deadline10\bin

But it seems to run and do nothing.

Note on the above, the client was installed to run as a service with an admin account. I’m just trying to reinstall and not do that to see if the region tick box becomes usable.

I’m experiencing the same issue with Auto Configuration crashing the monitor. I’ve experienced the same results on multiple workstations. It crashes when choosing any of the checkboxes or when updating the client filter type. Using version 10.3.0.13. Looks like it could be related to Qt.

Ok, glad Im not the only one! Just wish support could respond.

Any news from the devs please?

Sorry about the delay here - we’re aware of the issue. I can’t say anything about when a fix will be live, keep an eye on the release notes for news.

Perfect, no problem, just wanted to make sure its on your radar! I check every morning for an update!!
