Cannot remotely restart a slave ?

A slave is stucked on a rendering for too long, I suspended the job and now I want to stop (or kill) the slave but can’t do it :
“Cannot accept a connexion because remote admin has been disabled in the rep options”
…but it is enabled !?
What am I doing wrong ?

Hello,

Can I check if you have restarted the launcher on the machine you are trying to send the command to since that setting for remote admin was set? Can you try to restart the launcher now? Thanks.

I didn’t restarted the launcher (…btw I don’t know how…) but now it works :
I succed in remotely restarting 2 slaves.

But I don’t know why yesterday it didn’t worked…

FWIW, I experienced a similar problem when trying to restart the client app on a Mac machine… I found that if Deadline Launcher wasn’t running in the background on the Mac I’d get the same message.

Restarting the launcher, if it’s running, is simply a matter of right clicking the icon and choosing exit, then starting it back up again from the applications folder. If it’s not in the menu bar, then starting it up from the applications folder should have your slave see those commands.Good to hear that it’s working for you, through!
