Can't connect to database after power failure

Hey Gavin,

What’s this log from? Was it the MongoDB session that crashed during the power failure, or was this from when you tried to restart MongoDB? Have you tried doing a repair?

Cheers,
Ryan

This is the log from post repair. It’s supposedly “running” but none of the slaves or monitors could connect without a re-install.

Here are the logs. The power failed on 10/25 around 9pm.

Supposedly the UPS shut down the system properly.

So just to confirm, you were able to get things working again with a reinstall? I see that the DB is still on a 32 bit system, so that could explain why it wasn’t able to recover properly, even after a repair.

I know we’re beating a dead horse here, but you really, REALLY, need to run your database on a 64 bit system! :stuck_out_tongue:

Cheers,
Ryan

Preaching to the choir. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes things work smoothly after running the installer again and it seemed to clean up the database. The database itself would start up so I think it was just a Deadline specific table corruption.
