can't get slaves to pick up job

Hi guys,

I just installed the latest build (18) on 2 linux machines (Kubuntu 12.10) but now when I submit a job, the machines won’t pick it up and just show up as idle in the monitor.
The slaves’ terminals keeps complaining about the lack of a license, but since I’m only testing this on two machines at the moment I thought I didn’t need one?

I tried explicitly setting up the machines in a white list but to no avail.

Can somebody shed some light?

sorry, the minute I sent this I realised I have to remove the other two deactivated machines from the repository altogether to make the license free mode work. I thought deactivating them would be enough.
