Is there a way to install the submitter manually?
In a particular machine the installer of the submitter fails… and I don’t have any more ideas on what to do to fix it.
I copied the submitter to the desktop, no luck, even to the Deadline10/bin folder… where the “deadlinecommand.exe” is…
No luck at all…

did you restart the machine after installing Deadline? it’s possibly not finding the DEADLINE_PATH env var and therefore the bin folder.
Failing that, there’s always plan B of a manual install

I restarted it, actually this machine was rendering without issues for months, I just now wanted to be able tok submit from it too so went to install the plugin… but no luck.
The env var seems pointing to thre right folder, I also compared with another computer that worked without issue, and they both point to the same installation local folder, and it does exist.
I also could execute deadlinecommand.exe by hand…
I tried also starting the installer as admin, and giving permissions to everyone to that folder.

So, by hand I could install it, and somehow launch it,
But something is not right in that machine, the other plugins that utilize that deadline submitter can’t see it until I open it once per sesion…
Is almost like they forget that deadline submitter is installed…
Seems there is an issue still and I’m not sure how to fix it…
Sooo the installer issue was that I didn’t use UNC path for that computer and was causing issues,
After I changed the repository for a UNC path, no more issues.
But the plugins keep forgeting about Deadline, that still remains but might be plugin fault? hmmmm
