Hello,
- Version of Deadline 6.1.0.53841R
- Operating System Win 7 X64
- Rendering Application 3D Studio Max 2012
There is a difference to Deadline 6.0. The tiles checkbox stays active after sending a job. In 6.0 it was automaticly deactivated. Is this for a reason?
Not sure when this got changed, but is this a bad thing? It’s probably better to not automatically switch off flags after submitting because that’s probably unexpected behavior (ie: if I submit the same job back to back, the same settings should probably be used).
Just to confirm though, if you close and reopen the submitter, does it reset to being off again?
If I close and open the submitter the checkbox is always checked. In deadline 6.0 there was a “*” behind the tiles rendering, so it was always turned off after used once.
95% of our production is done without using tiles. So when someone sends one tile job (for a huge still eg.) and 6 hours later a movie sequence it is quite probable he will forget to turn tiles of.
Go to \your\repository\submission\3dsmax\Main and open SubmitMaxToDeadline_StickySettings.ini in a text editor. Do you see a “TilesRendering=” setting in there? If so, is it set to True or False? If it’s set to False, can you check the SubmitMaxToDeadline_Defaults.ini file to see if it has a “TilesRendering=” setting set to True?
SubmitMaxToDeadline_StickySettings.ini -> TilesRendering=false
SubmitMaxToDeadline_Defaults.ini -> TilesRendering=false
