Cinema 4D - String Resource not found! error in Deadline

If I render using the Deadline command plugin with this line I got an error.
Putting the same line in an windows cmd the rendering works fine.

“C:\Program Files\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R14\CINEMA 4D 64 Bit.exe” -nogui -render “T:_3d_archiv\Deadline\test.c4d” -frame 1 100 10 -oresolution 800 600 -oimage “T:_3d_archiv\Deadline\test_”

Any idea?

Hello,

I split this off from the other post, as it looked like a very different situation. I wanted to clarify if the same thing happens when the job is run from the actual C4D plugin? I didn’t see a mention of this in the original post. I am assuming this is the command pulled from a log. It’s interesting that you don’t get the same result when running the command from the command prompt. Can you share the full job report from the original job and the command line job? Thanks.

What I meant is commandline rendering without Deadline like this works fine:
“C:\Program Files\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R14\CINEMA 4D 64 Bit.exe” -nogui -render “T:_3d_archiv\Deadline\test.c4d” -frame 1 100 10 -oresolution 800 600 -oimage “T:_3d_archiv\Deadline\test_”

My idea was to put these arguments in the Deadline commandline submit dialog like the attachment.
What I want to achieve is to render every 10th frame within the range 1-100 in a single Deadline Task.

The log after submitting this:

Hello,

We can try a call on Thursday, as we are pretty heavily booked up today, but in meantime can you verify permissions and that the command prompt test and command line submission are being run on the same machine? Also, let us know what time tomorrow would be best for you, we are in 9am to 5 pm CST Monday through Friday.

Hi

I just tried a solution for this http://forums.thinkboxsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=13132:

If you find a solution via scripting it is optimal. No need for calling me regarding the commadline solution.
I will follow the other topic. Scripting a switch for the c4d deadline plugin seems to be a good workaround.

As I believe was mentioned in that thread, we are working on a solution for this, likely coming in 7.1 beta, or the next build after.
