Cinema4d 2026 submitting wrong frame range

Hi.

i got a strange ting happening recently.
More often then not, submitting using the submission script from cinema4d 2026 to deadline, it seems to submit the wrong frame range.

And i am a bit confused where to start debugging.

One thing that seems to be true. Is if i have “Use Take Frame Range” checked, it might mess up. if i let it use the “Frame List” it seems to be fine.

in this recent case. I have simple animation from 0 to 150.
No extra takes, just the standard main one. the frame range in cinema rendersettings says Preview range. and my preview range is 0-150.

Then i run the submission script, “Use Take Frame Range” is checked. and its rendering “Active take”

When i submitt, the monitor shows its going to render 0-175.
odd.

I also have renders where the range is set to something like 600-750 and it will show up as something like 530-763.

cheers

Haha, sorry.
I love posting here, i always get progress as soon as i submitt the question.

So. it seems the script dont respect the “Preview Range” in the rendersettings-output-Frame range.
So the script uses the “Manual” instead.

So apparently i had 0-175 in the manual. When i change it to use “Preview range” it changes to 0-150 as that is my preview range, and what i want. But the script and deadline will use 0-175 from the manual. So easy workaround, but would be nice to have this work

Again, cheers.

Yes, Deadline has only respected ‘Manual’ for quite a long time; it’s an annoying quirk, especially when you’re not aware of it.
