Hi all,
I get the following error when trying to render a C4D R14 scene on Deadline 8.0.0.52 Beta (b2aee704e) on OSX 10.10:
Error: Error: AttributeError : ‘Cinema4DProcess’ object has no attribute ‘HandleStdoutError’ (Python.Runtime.PythonException)
File “/Users/pepijn/Library/Application Support/Thinkbox/Deadline8/slave/iMac-D/plugins/56d594493f267a0916d9476f/Cinema4DBatch.py”, line 493, in InitializeProcess
self.AddStdoutHandlerCallback(".Document not found.").HandleCallback += self.HandleStdoutError
at Deadline.Plugins.PluginWrapper.StartJob (System.String& outMessage, FranticX.Processes.AbortLevel& abortLevel) <0x10dff3750 + 0x00230> in :0
Thanks for reporting this! Looks like some parts of the Cinema4DBatch plugin were removed accidentally. This will be fixed in the next beta release.
For now, simply unzip the attached file to \your\repository\plugins\Cinema4DBatch. It will overwrite Cinema4DBatch.py and DeadlineConnect.pyp, which should fix the error you’re seeing. After that, submit a new job and let us know if it works.
I was having the same problem, downloaded the file, confirmed the slaves are loading it but now C4D R17 is completeling processes but not outputting the file. I can’t see anything obvious in the log (attached).
Can you see anything that might be stopping the files being saved
We also use AfterEffects on our farm and that is running fine.
I’ve just installed a fresh installation of Deadline 8 due to an office move.

Can you try resubmitting the same job, but this time disable the “Use Batch Plugin” option in the submitter? This will submit a regular C4D command line job, and if you get the same problem, send us the log and we’ll take a look.
If it works fine, then there must be a bug in the Cinema4DBatch plugin (which is something new we’ve added to 8.0). Actually, if it does work, send us the render log too so that we can compare it to the Batch plugin log you’ve posted. If you could send us a scene file that reproduces the problem as well, that would be a big help!
