Conventional way to modify submission scripts

Hi there,

We have just gone through the Deadline 7.0 - 7.1 upgrade successfully thanks to the guys at sales for quickly sending through an updated license file… whoops…

Anyway we have done this a couple of times now and every time we have to edit/customise the submission scripts to match our environment and I had a thought, is the reason that we have to do this because we are going about it the wrong way via manually editing the submission scripts? and perhaps there is a better/more conventional way that we should be doing?

Any thoughts?

Hi,

The “…/custom/…” directory in your repository can be used to store your custom versions of the same-named file, where your ‘custom’ version with the same-name as the Deadline shipping version will get loaded instead of the default one.
