The warning panel sounds more like its TFD’s fault, but here’s the crash log anyway. All I was trying it do was render TFD with Krakatoa - nothing clever.

The txt file isn’t useful, I would need a scene to dissect what is happening. As I have TFD working fine here, I suspect a user error…
Yeah, wouldn’t be surprised! But all I did was make a TFD container with an emitter and link it to the KTFD Source. As soon I tried to render it or export the particle sequence, it bombs out. I’m happy for it to be user error, but I don’t see what I’m doing wrong.
Well a screenshot of the crash doesnt help much either
I see you use an older version of Turbulence FD though which MIGHT be the reason for the crash. Be sure to use the latest retail version. Secondly I suggest you read through the various hints I gave in the forum in reply to other people who had issues before.
Or share the scene and I can probably tell what the error is in no time.
Oh - it’s weird that it’s an older version. I’ve not been notified about a new one, and the plug-in usually hassles me.
EDIT: No, latest Mac build says 1304.
The crash dump shows it’s crashing in TFD when Krakatoa is rendering particles.
Would it be possible for you to send me a simple test scene that causes it to crash?
It may be caused by a bug in older versions of TFD. Is it possibly related to this same issue?:

Are you using the latest version of TFD? The above bug was fixed in the new TFD build.
Weezer stated he has the latest version. I rather suspect some workflow issues…
So what is the proper workflow?
BTW, the Mac version of TFD is behind the PC build.
I believe we have found a workaround to the problem. I’ll send you a build to test once it’s ready.
I can only tell when I open your scene that is crashing, there are a few hints that “could” cause a crash, although Thinkbox erased some crashes already.
Okay, it seems to be the case where you need to use the same source from TFD (i.e. Fire or Smoke) - but I have found this to be quite fragile and really breaks the scene file if you save before getting the two sources synched.
Hopefully Krakatoa and TFD can be made to talk to one another a bit more closely, or perhaps a warning message pops up to remind you to switch the renders, as it’s pretty fatal if you forget!
