We’re looking at adding some linux slaves to our farm, and I have almost everything worked out. I’ve just got a question about environment variables. Is there any way to do per-platform environment variable setting or mapping similar to your path mapping? If not, I’d imagine that I can rig something up in a preload script - I just thought I’d see if there’s anything built in that I’m missing first. Thanks!
Hey Darren,
There currently isn’t a way to do per-platform environment variable mappings.
Cheers,
- Ryan
Ok, no problem. I’ll be able to figure something out. Thanks for the quick response!
I’ve just seen this. Has anyone fortunate enough to get this working outwith the limitations of 6.0? I’m finding the pre-task script path on a job not behaving on ‘both’ linux and Windows platforms at the same time and could be doing with some advice before I start pulling plugins apart
Do you have path mappings set up? If so, they should be getting applied to the script paths so that they work in a cross-platform environment.

Thanks for the quick reply Ryan, I’ll get back on and test that some more tomorrow. I did have it set up using a replacement path mapping but it didn’t seem to take.
I’ll let you know how I get on tomorrow.
Cheers!
That’s done the trick Ryan! I could swear I did this last night but I’m suspecting there’s been some stale config/job data hanging about! Brill stuff, thanks guys!!
