D6 Job Name via RPM

XPx64 MAX2014 RPM 5.1

I use RPM with D6. In the Network tab of RPM, you can set the Job Name to be used when the current pass is submitted. One of the options is to use $outputfilename for the job name. In RPM, the pass name is what is used for the output filename.

I just submitted 3 passes via Net Submit Checked in RPM. The pass names were:

PA_combine
MA_combine
DG_combine

The resulting job names in D6 were:

PA_combine_.png
MA_combine
DG_combine

  1. When RPM creates the filename to be used… it appends the _ to the end of the name then the digits and extension. For some reason, that first pass had that included in the job name but others did not (which is what is more desirable). Just thought I would mention this.

  2. Also, it might be better to have an option to use the pass name for the job name rather than using the output filename, if that’s possible.

  3. Since I would probably use the $outputfilename or $passname exclusively for the job name… could there be a global checkbox where I could set this option once and have this used for all passes without having to go into each pass to set the job name choice?

Hmmm… when I just submitted another pass, the job name in D6 ended up being $outputfilename.

I am not 100% sure whether this is under our control or Grant’s.
Have you reported your issues to him to see what he thinks?
