Deadline 4.1 SP1 - Nuke Submission Script Update

This updated script fixes some bugs in the Python version of the Nuke submission script. To install, follow these steps:

  1. Go to \your\repository\submission\Nuke and back up the existing SubmitNukeToDeadline.py script.
  2. Change the extension of the attached file to .py and copy it to the same folder.
  3. Restart Nuke on the machine you wish to submit a job from to ensure the new script is loaded.

The following issues have been addressed in this update:

  1. If a write node is present in the Nuke script, but no output is defined, the py script fails due to checking functions such as “IsPathLocal” not handling the missing write node path input.
  2. DeadlineGlobals.initOnComplete incorrectly set to “False” instead of “Nothing” – causes pop-up dialog with the error message.
  3. The initial height of the “Submit To Deadline” dialog needs to be bigger.
  4. The width is not wide enough in WinXP OS and the text “Submit Each Write Node As A Separate Job” isn’t wide enough.
  5. Pool and Group settings get switched during submission.

Cheers,

Here is a new update for the Nuke submission script. This fixes an IOError that can occur when launching the script or when submitting the job. Follow the same installation instructions above.
