So I’m attempt to install deadline and get it up and running in license free mode on a Macbook Pro…I have it running on my desktop just fine (2nd node) but with my laptop I am unable to open up any of the programs. Except for the client config on. Which I have set up with the repository pointing to the PC where it is installed. I have Mono 2.6.7 installed, I have x11 installed, and the font that they say sometimes effects this. Any help would be great!
Do you have VirtualBox installed on your laptop? There is a known issue between Mono and VirtualBox that results in Deadline crashing. If this is the case, the only workaround for Deadline 4.1 is to uninstall VirtualBox. However, this issue has been fixed in the beta version of Deadline 5.0, so if you have VirtualBox installed and would like to join the beta, let me know!
