What’s New In Deadline 6.1.54584 (Release Candidate 3)
This is the third release candidate for Deadline 6.1, and is mostly just bug fixes.
Like RC1 & RC2, this release includes Draft 1.1 RC1, which improves the existing EXR support to bring it in line with the old Tile Assembler application. Note that this new version of Draft requires an updated 1.1 Draft license. Please email sales@thinkboxsoftware.com to request an updated Draft license.
General Improvements
- Fixed a race condition that could cause the deadline.ini file to be reset.
- Moved the hard coded hardware types from the Amazon EC2 cloud plugin to a multiline string field in the param file.
Monitor Improvements
- The “Change Color Of Jobs That Accumulate Errors” and “Change Color Of Tasks That Accumulate Errors” options are now properly saved with the Monitor layout.
- When changing the frame range of a job with frame dependencies, the new incomplete tasks are now set to pending instead of queued.
- Fixed a bug in the Power Management dialog that prevented Idle Shutdown overrides that used specific days of the week from being saved properly.
- Fixed a job node creation issue in the Job Dependency view on OSX.
- The Expand and Collapse options are now available in the context menu for Asset and Script nodes in the Job Dependency view.
- Fixed a bug in the Job Dependency view that would fail to draw connections between jobs that the user did not have permission to modify.
Slave Improvements
- Fixed a bug that prevented the slave from unloading its current job properly if it loses its license or becomes disabled while rendering a task (the slave will still finish rendering that task before unloading the job).
3ds Max Improvements
- Updated the VRay advanced options that can be modified after the job has been submitted to work with VRay 2.x and 3.0.
After Effects Improvements
- Changed positioning of the Fail On Existing Process checkboxes to improve the layout in the AE submitter.
- The Monitor submitter no longer checks if the frame list is valid when using multi-machine rendering.
Arnold Improvements
- Increased the width of the “Calculate Frames From Arnold File” checkbox because it was being cut off on OSX.
Fusion Improvements
- The Draft template “Browse” button in the integrated submitter now sets the file filter drop down properly in the file browser.
Mantra Improvements
- Increased the width of the “Calculate Frames From IFD File” checkbox because it was being cut off on OSX.
