Deadline 6.2 Slave crashes

Hi.

It’s not a question. It’s message for others, who searching for solution.

I’ve installed Deadline Slave 6.2.0.32. When I started slave, loading window closes unexpectedly, and slave doesn’t start. No any error messages appear.
I’ve started search for the solution, and the next step - I found a mistake in license settings. There are no “port” in my settings. Only “appserver” (name of my license server).
I’ve changed it to “27000@appserver”. And… Wow! Now I have a Slave, unexpectedly closes with error event 1000 - Faulting module name: MSVCR100.dll, Exception code: 0xc0000417.
I’ve reinstalled MS VCPP 2010, but no success.
And the last try - I’ve changed port in my license file and slave settings to 27004 (other ports used by another servers), restart thinkbox license server. Error gone and slave starting successfully now.

Wow! I haven’t seen the MSVCR100.dll error with licensing yet. That’s usually due to a build using new libraries than it should be.

I’m glad you managed to get that resolved. We’ll talk about this more internally. Thanks for reporting it.
