Deadline 6 - MongoDB and Mac problem

Hi everyone,

we are trying to set up Deadline 6 on our render farm, and now I’ve been having some problems setting it up on our Mac workstations.
Right now it tells me:

Hi Dirk,

Can your Mac workstations resolve the Deadline6 host name? A quick way to test is to open a Terminal on your Mac and ping it, like this:

ping Deadline6

If it’s unable to resolve the host name, it sounds like you have a DNS issue, and that would explain the problem.

thanks for the reply. Our new Deadline 6 repository machine wasn’t in our DNS list yet, so that did it. Thank you!
