Deadline 6 - Remove group from slaves group list

Hello,

I have affected slaves to a group, and now I want to remove them from this group.
I do that from Deadline Monitor with ‘Manage Groups…’ :

  • In the left list, select the group to remove
  • In the right list, select machines
  • Click ‘Remove’
  • Click ‘OK’

After that machines still have the group in their group list.
Did I miss somehting?

Slaves check in every 10 mins for any updated settings. You could restart the slave to force the settings change through quicker.

  • Remove group
  • Restart slaves

Hello Nico,

So there is a bug in Deadline presently where checking the ‘exclude from none pool’ or ‘exclude from none group’ in the slave settings prevents the slave from being removed from a specific pool or group, based on which is selected. I would advise turning this off for those slaves, making your changes to their status in the groups, then turn it back on. ​​Hope this helps.
