NOTE: The RC4 installers have been removed due to a regression that prevents deadlinecommandbg from functioning properly. This affected any submitters that used to submit jobs to Deadline. We should have an RC5 release out soon that fixes this issue.
What’s New In Deadline 7.1.0.30 (Release Candidate 4)
This is the fourth and final (planned) release candidate for Deadline 7.1, and includes various bug fixes and minor improvements.
Here are the highlighted changes:
General Improvements
- Fixed a bug that prevent Deadline from creating the user deadline.ini file for new users.
- Fixed issues with how all the Deadline applications handled startup errors, including the case where the system deadline.ini file doesn’t exist.
Monitor Improvements
- When streaming logs from Pulse, the Monitor will now only to connect to the Primary Pulse if it is running.
Slave Improvements
- The slaves now only try to connect to the Primary Pulse if it is running.
Command Improvements
- The help messages for the SubmitMultipleJobs and Multi commands are now consistent.
Scripting Improvements
- Fixed a warning message that appeared when loading the plugin configuration for a plugin that has a comment for the first line in the .param file.
3ds Max Improvments
- Removed 3ds Max 2016 Design paths from the 3dsmax plugin (because 3ds Max 2016 doesn’t have a Design edition).
- Added a couple Maxwell popup ignorers.
Houdini Improvements
- Fixed an error that occurred when submitting from within Houdini.
- Path mapping is now enabled by default in the Houdini plugin.
Mantra Standalone Improvements
- Path mapping is now enabled by default in the Mantra plugin.
Maya Improvements
- Path mapping is now enabled by default in the MayaCmd and MayaBatch plugins.
VRay Improvements
- Path mapping is now enabled by default in the VRay plugin.
VRay Spawner Improvements
- Added a couple Maxwell popup ignorers when rendering with VRay for 3ds Max.
Vue Improvements
- Added support for Vue 2015.
- Default Vue executable paths for Vue 2014 and 2015 now include the path to the Vue PLE executable.
Amazon EC2 Improvements
- Updated boto library, which added support for new AWS regions.
