Congrats with release guys !
Wanted to ask if Dynamic DBR was finished in this version , as i did not see any news about that one in RC2 or earlier betas ?
Regards
Hello,
I have to apologize, but I am not familiar with Dynamic DBR. Is that an application or a description? Can you elaborate? Thanks.
Hey there !
Just check this thread :

last 2 posts.
It is a feature to dynamically add and remove slaves while distribute rendering of VRay is going on , as well as defining which machine should be “master” machine to render on.
Really was expecting this in 7.2
Hello,
Thank you, I have a bit better understanding of what you are referring to, and was able to find the relevant internal documentation on this. I noticed that the goal has moved on this to 8.0 due to some issues we ran into when trying to implement it. I will check with the devs to see if there is working prototype of the plugin with this built in and let you know.
Thanks for that , would be happy to test it !
Maybe you have an idea about 8.0 version , will it be out before new year , or is it too early to ask ?
Alas, Deadline 8 hasn’t even launched in beta, so there isn’t even a better guess than ‘within 12 month or less’.
Really sad news… Thanks for the info though.
The good news here is that the 8.0 beta is coming out hopefully within the next month or two.
Who knows, we may fast-track something just for you
Keep an eye out for a service pack of 7.2, something might be coming in there. I can’t promise anything though.
So, Dynamic DBR is in the 8.0 beta if anyone wants to give it a go. It’s pretty great from what Mike’s told me.
The most interesting part is that if a Slave can’t get a connection at the first try, it’ll try again every 30 seconds if I remember correctly.
Yeah we heard about that already , thanks !
Though bad thing is that we cannot test deadline 8 right now , but i will try to squeeze it somehow in our tight production line…
Really interested in how it works !
I will send request for the beta participation anyway.
Great job, guys !
