Deadline 7 not picking up jobs

We upgraded to deadline 7 from 6 over the weekend.

Now we cannot get anything to render. All our jobs just sit with status “queued”

We almost exclusively submit max design jobs, both 2014 and 2015.
I checked to see that the correct version of max was located in the directory the plugin is looking for the exe.
I check that the pools assigned to the job were also assigned to nodes that should be rendering the jobs
I checked that the slaves arent blacklisted for the job
There are no dependencies
There are no job reports

Same problem here, we upgraded to deadline 7 using Maya and Vray
and the slaves are not picking up any jobs. Maybe it´s a common issue.

Can I just check that you are both running:

Deadline v7.0.1.3

and as this is a major version, you have upgraded your Flexlm License server to at least: v11.12? (Using Autodesk’s Flexlm license server v11.10 will NOT work)

Deadline v7.0 requires at least Flexlm version 11.12.

Hello,

Can you both verify what the current license status of your slaves are in the ‘License’ column of the slave list? As well, can you turn on the job candidate filter and verify the slaves are allowed to grab the available jobs? Thanks.

it was indeed the license server. Even though it said “permanent” in the license status before.

i believe it was Edwin that helped us over the phone.

we had the 32 bit lic server installed and needed the 64 bit version.

We are running license server version 11.12.1 32bit in a Windows server since there isn’t a 64bit version for this SO.

Hello,

So I think using our 64 bit manual install files might be an option for you to resolve this until we have a 64 bit installer. You can find those files at thinkboxsoftware.com/license … /win64.zip
