What’s New In Deadline 8.0.0.46 (Beta 5)
This release includes a bunch of bug fixes and improvements.
General Improvements
- Added support for Mocha
- ‘EventCallbacks’ is no longer a required setting for Event Plugins
- Updated shipped version of Draft to v1.5.0.59410
- Fixed Shotgun and FTrack integration to work properly in 8.0
API Improvements
- Renamed the Task object’s “TaskSlaveMachineName” property to the more appropriate “TaskSlaveName”
- Added some missing documentation for the Task Object
Launcher Improvements
- Fixed the Launcher to be able to launch the Web Service
Monitor Improvements
- Fixed some exceptions that occurred in the Job Dependency Graph
- Added support for mPlay as an ImageViewer; $F# can now be used as a substitute for frame padding
- Added ability to create Images from the Cloud panel
- Fixed a bug where switching to/from Super User mode would mess up Ego-Centric sorting
- Changed Farm Report forms to be non-modal
- Job details panel will now be cleared when selecting multiple (or no) jobs
- Added a dedicated button to the Report panels to save out the reports
Proxy Server Improvements
- Fixed several bugs when running on Linux and OSX
- Fixed a bug when running with ‘nohup’ in Linux
Slave Improvements
- Fixed Slave to be able to acquire a license
- Fixed a bug where the Slave would constantly pick up and fail jobs when connected to the DB but not the Deadline Repository share
- Improved Slave Log streaming to be faster to start when connecting to a local Slave
- Fixed a bug where the Slave would no long pick up a job it was working on after it was requeued
Web Service Improvements
- Fixed a bug when running with ‘nohup’ in Linux
3dsMax Improvements
- Added some sanity checks for undefined settings
- Improved Stereo Camera detection to work with V-Ray Stereo Camera rigs
Anime Studio Improvements
- Submitter not supports new command line options introduced in 11.2
- Added support for rendering to animated GIF
Generation Improvements
- Updated to work with the new Blackmagic API
Houdini Improvements
- Fixed a bug which prevented submission of the scene file through the Monitor Submitter
Maya Improvements
- Added a QuickTime Popup dialog handler for “Unsupported Display” when a machine rendering a maya job is auto-locked (for security compliance)
Nuke Improvements
- Improved start-up speed for the integrated Nuke submitter
- Added ability to force rendering Full or Proxy resolution
