Deadline client backwards-compatible with older Repository versions?

We have a local repository and all our workers currently running version 10.1.23.6.

If we were to gradually update our worker nodes (before the repository) to the newest 10.3.2.1 would that cause any issues operating with the Repository running an older version? Or how about vice-versa?

Looking forward to hearing back.

You’ll likely have issues with Python support being dropped/changing.

Safest bet would be to try one Client and see if that works

Tested this and it seemed to break certain jobs, at least Python jobs when testing. Anyone know if this would work fine the other way around (newer repo, older worker) per say?

I’m not getting those same errors, but it feels like this would be much more unsafe?

I get issues mixing 10.2 and 10.3, the older workers are going to fetch the newer scripts and have issues too, you’re much better off keeping everything consistent

Yup, and in our case mixing 10.1 and 10.3 would probably cause just as much if not more issues.

Thanks for your input!
