ERR: zlib_inflate_istream.read: ZLib inflate call failed with error code: -5
Renders ok locally. I’ll see if it crops up again.

That ZLib message sounds like a corrupted file. We have seen it once before, but in those days we were writing the data into the final file. Now beta 18 writes a temp file, closes it and renames it if successful, or deletes it if canceled before finishing. So there must be something happening to the data that we could not catch…
Which is odd since it renders locally ok.

The zlib error only happens on dual-quad xeon machine. Dual-dual or AMD machines are fine. Odd?

I tried setting the affinity for the 3ds max process to just 2 CPU’s. It didn’t help, but I’m not really sure if it worked, since you wouldn’t see much of a change anyway. The other machines have done 40 frames or so without error.
