After a month of testing the license forwarder with thinkbox support we have not been able to solve it.
When we send a job with vray limits, the license forwarder receives the requests correctly and they are registered but the worker always gets the same error.
Could not obtain a license (-7): -7: The Chaos License Server is denying access. Update the license server and check access filter (if any).
A few days ago I had the error No UBL credits for vray but now I get this error, I don’t know what to do.
Also when we install v-ray in the different versions of max, maya, houdini etc… there is no documentation that tells us what kind of installation needs deadline exactly where the license points to, I have assumed that it should be to the license forwarder as in the image below.
The strange thing is that the license forwarder works the requests but does not render, lastly in aws portal the v-ray license uploads the minutes but without rendering anything.
I had this exact error. I needed to open the port on the return journey for the AWS render, it’s 30306 I think (as opposed to standard 30304). Check your ports/security groups in both directions
Good, we are using third party UBL, we do not have aws portal, likewise I have opened 30304,303067(TCP-UDP) Inbound and Outbound in the windows firewall both where licence forwarder is hosted and in the processing node, but I have no result.
I have tested these hours a trial license of Vray and it has worked perfectly, so the problem must be of the license forwarder.
No, I am using only local machines, I informed if it was possible with the support and he said yes, also in the marketplace says some only work in aws, those that do not have only aws, should be local with the license forwarder no ?
Now I am a little puzzled after these 2 months, so you say all aws licenses from the marketplace do not work for me to give a vray service on my machines ? Without using any aws portal.
