Deadline has stop working across all platforms: Houdini / 3ds Max

Hello everyone,

Recently I have upgraded to Houdini 18.5 and the latest Deadline Client Version: 10.1.12.1.

After doing the correct setup for 3ds max and Houdini the submitters work for both of them, but Deadline fails to render any more. The message that I get in both cases when rendering a task inside Deadline is the one bellow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Stefan

Hi I don’t use Houdini or 3DSMax so this is a stab in the dark but …

Have you allowed the workers access to secrets?

Turns out the issue was caused by the use of a VPN software. As soon as I disconnect from the VPN Deadline is up an running again. Anyone has a solution to this?

does it resolve the hostname in use? can you use the IP instead of the hostname when trying to resolve the Deadline repo/db?

Is the port blocked while on VPN?

Is the home network conflicting with the vpn network?
