Deadline job name coming from partitioning rollout even when rendering scene particles.

Beta 18, max 9 x64, DL 2.7.

I submitted a rasterization job to Deadline, but the name in the DL submission box isn’t being used, the name in the partitioning rollout is, even though that rollout is greyed out. I think the job name should come from the regular Submit to Deadline window in those cases.

Of course.

If you opened Deadline Submitter BEFORE Krakatoa, when Krakatoa opens, it will replace the data in the SMTDSettings struct with the new name. The only way to enforce the name correctly would be to fix the submitter to grab the latest values from the GUI before submission (which was against the original design where the struct was the main source of any submission data).

So it is more of a Deadline Submitter bug than a Krakatoa one, but since I am responsible for the GUI of both, I will try to fix that.

(It is also the reason not to have the “Open SMTD” button in Krakatoa yet - opening SMTD AFTER Krakatoa would also override lots of settings in the Partitioning submission. Will have to deal with that, too.)
