Hello,
I just installed Deadline Client 10.4.2.2 on my machine (Windows 11 Pro, version 24H2, build 26100.6725).
When I first launched deadlinelauncher.exe, it worked correctly.
But after restarting my PC, it no longer starts and I now get this error message:
You must install .NET Desktop Runtime to run this application.
Architecture: x64
App host version: 8.0.6
I have already installed the required runtimes:
- Microsoft .NET Runtime 6.0.36 (x64)
- Microsoft .NET Runtime 8.0.6 (x64)
- Microsoft .NET Runtime 8.0.20 (x64)
- Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.6 (x64)
- Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.20 (x64)
When I run dotnet --list-runtimes, I can confirm that both .NETCore.App 8.0.6/8.0.20 and WindowsDesktop.App 8.0.6/8.0.20 are properly installed.
Still, deadlinelauncher.exe refuses to start after reboot and always shows the runtime error.
Has anyone else encountered this issue with Deadline 10.4.2.2 on Windows 11?
Any ideas on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
