Deadline Nuke 8 patch

Hi , since The Foundry people decided to forego proper version protocol and jumped from Nuke 7.0v8 etc to Nuke 8.0
in one swoop is there a patch/workaround for deadline to render Nuke 8.0 files?
Also I have an ongoing problem of Deadline not properly recognizing the version of submitted file (just sees major version number i.e. 7.0), my work around has been to configure plugins and tell deadline to look for the executable in the folder of choice for any Nuke 7.0Vxxx file so if I’m submitting 7.0v8 deadline sees it as just 7.0 my paths in the configure nuke plugin 7.0 are pointing to 7.0v8 folder…
Anyway that’s a minor thing i can deal with , but Nuke 8.0 support would be great, kind of time sensitive… is there a python file i can edit that’s responsible for “Configure Plugins” dialog or something as easy as that?

Hello,

I will write the same thing here that I did in your support ticket. There is no plan I am aware of to support Nuke 8 in Deadline 6.0, though there is support in the 6.1 beta which is in the late stages and is production ready, if you want to give it a try. I am not sure if there are any issues with Nuke 8 that would be problematic to coding your own support in 6.0, though while it is not supported, you can definitely try it.
