Deadline - Recurring error issues with Cinema 4D r20 & Octane Render 4

Hi,

I’m urgently following up on recurring errors in Deadline 10.0.21.5 Release (7cef63955)

We have scenes with Cinema 4D r20 Version 20.030 Build RB257898.

We are rendering with Octane 4.02.1 and using X Particles Build 4.0.0642.

Running on Windows 10.

We are getting recurring errors:

2019-06-27 11:48:42: 0: An exception occurred: Error: Renderer returned non-zero error code, -1073741515. Check the log for more information.

2019-06-27 11:48:42: at Deadline.Plugins.PluginWrapper.RenderTasks(String taskId, Int32 startFrame, Int32 endFrame, String& outMessage, AbortLevel& abortLevel) (Deadline.Plugins.RenderPluginException)

2019-06-27 05:22:14: 0: STDOUT: CUDA_ERROR_OUT_OF_MEMORY: out of memory

We would appreciate your support with Deadline to help resolve these issues as soon as possible.

Many thanks.

I think you might need to update your deadline version.

  • Added support for Octane 4.
  • The Octane plugin now uses the –no-gui flag, which reduces the chances of a blocking popup from stalling the render.
  • Leaving “Render Target (orbx)” blank in the submitter will now allow you to render all targets defined in an ORBX scene file, instead of rendering nothing.
  • Fixed a bug in the plugin GPU error handling that caused it to fail when reporting an error.
  • Fixed a bug in the “GPUs per Task” workflow that would set incorrect values on the command line.
  • Fixed a bug in the submitter that prevented the use of the “Select GPUs” workflow.
